Use the "Local file" or "Online file" buttons to specify how to upload the document to the server. Use the "local file" if you need to convert a file from your computer, in order to specify a file on the Internet, select "Online file" and in the appeared field paste the link to the file. We do not set any limits on the size of the document file, but the larger the file, the more time it will take to convert. Just be patient and everything will turn out.
To start the conversion, click the "Convert" button to start the transformation. If the conversion is successful, the file will be available in the "Conversion Results" section. If you just need to download a file, click on the file name. If you want to get other ways to save, then click on the icon to generate a QR code to upload the result to your mobile phone or tablet, and also if you want to save the file in one of the online storage services such as Google Drive or Dropbox.
Please be patient in the conversion process.
Compare DOC with ODT
Format introduction
DOC is a filename extension for word processing documents, most commonly in the proprietary Microsoft Word Binary File Format. In Microsoft Word 2007 and later, the binary file format was replaced as the default format by the Office Open XML format, though Microsoft Word can still produce DOC files.
The Open Document Format for Office Applications (ODF), also known as OpenDocument, is an XML-based file format for spreadsheets, charts, presentations and word processing documents. It was developed with the aim of providing an open, XML-based file format specification for office applications.
Technical details
Binary DOC files often contain more text formatting information (as well as scripts and undo information) than some other document file formats like Rich Text Format and HyperText Markup Language, but are usually less widely compatible.
The original OpenDocument format consists of an XML document that has as its root element. OpenDocument files can also take the format of a ZIP compressed archive containing a number of files and directories; these can contain binary content and benefit from ZIP's lossless compression to reduce file size.
