To convert audio, follow these steps:
  • Use the "Local file" or "Online file" buttons to specify how to upload the audio to the server. Use the "local file" if you need to convert a file from your computer, in order to specify a file on the Internet, select "Online file" and in the appeared field paste the link to the file. We do not set any limits on the size of the audio file, but the larger the file, the more time it will take to convert. Just be patient and everything will turn out. You can convert files from audio or video formats. For formats that support tags, the data will also be transferred.
  • To start the conversion, click the "Convert" button to start the transformation. If the conversion is successful, the file will be available in the "Conversion Results" section. If you just need to download a file, click on the file name. Please be patient in the conversion process.

Compare WAV with OGG

Format introduction Waveform Audio File Format is a Microsoft and IBM audio file format standard for storing an audio bitstream on PCs. It is the main format used on Windows systems for raw and typically uncompressed audio. The usual bitstream encoding is the linear pulse-code modulation (LPCM) format. Vorbis is a free and open-source software project headed by the Xiph.Org Foundation. The project produces an audio coding format and software reference encoder/decoder (codec) for lossy audio compression. Vorbis is most commonly used in conjunction with the Ogg container format and it is therefore often referred to as Ogg Vorbis.
Technical details Though a WAV file can contain compressed audio, the most common WAV audio format is uncompressed audio in the linear pulse code modulation (LPCM) format. Audio in WAV files can be encoded in a variety of audio coding formats, such as GSM or MP3, to reduce the file size. Vorbis had been shown to perform significantly better than many other lossy audio formats in the past in that it produced smaller files at equivalent or higher quality while retaining computational complexity comparable to other MDCT formats such as AAC or Windows Media Audio.
